I am very happy to report that Kathleen Winter, author of Annabel, will be reading at the First Edition Reading Series when she and I can confirm a date. Annabel was shortlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize and the 2010 Governor General's Award. It is the only novel to make all three awards' 2010 shortlists.
In related news, I am equally happy to tell you that Johanna Skibsrud, winner of the 2010 Scotiabank Giller Prize for The Sentimentalists, has also gotten back to us and would like to read at the series in the fall.
When we confirm dates with both of these brilliant writers, we will let you know.
